Ignite Academy: Empowering Teens to Lead, Serve, and Succeed

Starting in 2026, First Tee – Greater Houston will introduce Ignite Academy (IA). IA is a leadership and career exploration program for First Tee – Greater Houston participants ages 13–18, designed to support their personal and professional growth. This selective opportunity equips teens with the tools to lead with purpose, serve their communities, and succeed in whatever path they pursue. Over the course of the program, participants engage in a combination of hands-on workshops, mentorship opportunities, and industry-focused site visits that highlight a diverse range of local businesses and career paths. Students will develop essential leadership skills, sharpen their critical thinking, and explore entrepreneurship—all while building confidence and expanding their view of what’s possible.

Academy Highlights:

• Twelve (12) students selected through a competitive application process
• Participants will take part in meaningful volunteer service projects that reinforce the value of community engagement and giving back.
• Parent/guardian transportation required for off-site experiences.
