Game Changer Workshops: Empowering Players to Lead, Serve, and Succeed

In 2026, we are launching Game Changer Workshops, a free, inclusive series designed to help participants and the broader community “level up” their life skills, confidence, and future goals—on and off the course. These workshops will be open to the public, not just First Tee participants, and will feature guest speakers, panel discussions, and hands-on activities covering real-world topics. This inclusive approach ensures that all ages and backgrounds can benefit from these resources, fostering empowerment and upward mobility throughout Greater Houston. These workshops will feature topics like:

  • Resume Writing & Personal Branding
  • Financial Literacy & Budgeting Basics
  • Business Etiquette & Professional Attire
  • Panel Discussions with Community & Industry Leaders
  • Computer Skills for School & Work presented by AT&T
  • Navigating applications, interviews and auditions
  • 3 Part “What’s Next?” Series, including:
    • So…College or Nah?: An honest and engaging panel discussion exploring life after high school. This session dives into college alternatives, career pathways, trades, entrepreneurship, gap years, and what success can look like beyond the traditional route.
    • So…What Does Golf Have to Do with My Future?: Exploring how golf can open doors to scholarships, networking, careers, and lifelong personal development.
    • So…You Want to Play College Golf?: A focused panel discussion featuring current and former collegiate golfers and coaches sharing insight on recruitment, scholarships, balancing academics, and preparing for the next level.

If you know personnel that would be interested in leading a workshop topic, have them fill out this form or contact Coach Maya at [email protected] or (281) 459-8721.
