In addition to our regular programming for kids, we also have special events throughout the year in which we invite the community to come out and support First Tee and our fundraising efforts. Events are the main way that the Houston Golf Association and First Tee – Greater Houston raises the funds to allow our programs to impact the lives of our participants throughout the Houston metroplex!
Core Values Luncheon
In a record setting year for both attendance and funds raised, 315 guests gathered at River Oaks Country Club to raise more than $250,000 for First Tee – Greater Houston youth. Special thanks to co-chairs Megan & Michael Kaufman and Stephanie & Chris Walker, as well as our alumni speaker Dr. Owais Durrani.
Congratulations to our Game Changing 2025 Core Values Honorees Ken Fisher and Henry Noey, who have both dedicated many years to Houston Golf Association and First Tee – Greater Houston. We enjoyed giving them this well-deserved recognition and are grateful for their philanthropy and leadership.

Dr. Norman Berkman Father's Day Charity Golf Tournament
Save Wednesday, June 11, 2025, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of our largest golf fundraising tournament. This is the perfect Father’s Day gift. We encourage families to play with their children, parents and grandparents but everyone is welcome to participate.
Champions Challenge
Champions Challenge is a fun competition using golf activity stations, as taught in the First Tee School Program in over 550 elementary and middle schools in the Greater Houston area. Schools involved in First Tee School Program are invited to select two, fourth grade students to compete and represent their school!
F.M. Law Park Shootout
Join us on September 30, for a day of golf, food, beverages, and information about HGA’s capital campaign to make necessary improvements to F.M. Law Park. This 9-hole walking tournament benefits youth of First Tee-Greater Houston.
